Internet’s down

August 4, 2010

I’m updating from a coffee shop downtown because I won’t have internet access at home until Monday. But “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea” just came on here, so I figured I had to write something.

Though I still feel like I’m in someone else’s house (and, really, I am), I’m enjoying my living arrangement. I’ve spent a lot of time with Will, and already he’s had friends (and my interview subjects) stop by. Popfest next week should bring in some out-of-towners, too.

As well, I’m enjoying living with the cats. I’ve never lived with real pets (reptiles and fish don’t really count), but it’s been nice. One cat in particular — an orange tabby named Arthur — has taken a special liking to me, keeping me company in my room almost every time I’m in there.

Soon, maybe tonight, I’ll get around to snapping some pictures of the house itself (incidental cat inclusion is inevitable). It should make for some good images.

In more relevant news, I’ve got a couple interview today and a few more set for the rest of the week. Next week, as mentioned, is Popfest, which means there’ll be a lot going on, though how much of it will be on the record remains to be seen.
